
About 200 tertiary students of Guimaras State College (GSC) - Mosqueda Campus in Jordan, Guimaras will be given conducive learning environment at the newly constructed 2-storey academic building.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Guimaras District Engineering Office (DEO) has completed the construction of the school building that will be used by the College of Business Administration.
According to District Engineer Rolando P. Ubaldo, the building 27.0 meters by 9.5 meters at the GSC - Mosqueda Campus, consists four classrooms, a library and an office.
Ubaldo added that the construction of the new building, with the total cost of P7.655 million, is part of the Construction/Repair/Rehabilitation of Multi-Purpose Buildings cluster project, intended for the town of Jordan, with the total funding allocation of P 44.0 million.
“The District Office provided the college’s officials with project documents which were used as among their supporting papers in their programs accreditation conducted by the Accrediting Agencies of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP),” Ubaldo said.
“One of the areas to be evaluated by the AACCUP is the Development Plan of the College and its Physical Plant and Facilities,” he added.
