
Among the employees of the Department who have rendered decades of experience in mastering the various civil engineering operations is Engineer Danilo E. Dequito.
Prior to his assignment as the top state engineer in the MIMAROPA Region, Engr. Dequito has already served as Regional Director for Region I and Cordillera Administrative Region. In 2015, he was given a special assignment to assist Assistant Secretary Dimas Soguilon in the supervision of the Visayas and Mindanao Operations. He was also designated in 2010 as an OIC - Regional Director for Region V after his short stint as OIC - Regional Director of Region VII on the same year.
Engr. Dequito has attended numerous trainings and seminars sponsored by various agencies and institutions like Total Quality Management for Executives, Managerial Effectiveness Training Course, Orientation Program on the CES, Reorientation/Seminar of Key officials, and Professional Growth Through Value Clarification for Executives, among others.
He received numerous awards as Outstanding Field Executive.
He graduated with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Luzonian University Foundation in 1976. He earned 30 units in Master in Public Administration in 1997 from the Holy Trinity College. He passed the DPWH Civil Service promotional examination in 1994 with an 81.83% rating. He obtained an 80.36% rating in the Management Aptitude Test Battery (MATB) Examination in 2001 and was conferred with a Career Executive Service Officer Rank IV in September 2007.
He was born on February 16, 1953 in Pagbilao, Quezon. He is married to Melecia D. Gayapa, Administrative Officer II of Quezon 1st Engineering District. He is a loving father to daughter Marie Ivie and son Mark Ryan.
