Two (2) sections of EDSA will undergo concrete reblocking and repair starting 10 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2015.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has secured clearance of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to conduct reblocking and repair activity at the EDSA southbound first lane from sidewalk between Scout Borromeo and Timog Avenue and the northbound lane between New York Street and K-10 Street specifically the second lane from sidewalk.

Two (2) sections of EDSA will undergo concrete reblocking and repair starting 10 P.M. Friday, November 6, 2015.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has secured clearance of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to conduct reblocking and repair activity at the EDSA southbound first lane from sidewalk between Scout Borromeo and Timog Avenue and the northbound lane between New York Street and K-10 Street specifically the second lane from sidewalk.

Construction of Muelle Loney (Drilon) Bridge Nearns Completion

The construction of the Muelle Loney (Drilon) Bridge along Iloilo City-Lapuz Road over Iloilo River is now nearing completion with the present accomplishment of 94.68 percent.

Progress of work was witnessed by President Benigno S. Aquino III during his visit at Iloilo for the unveiling of markers of the President Corazon C. Aquino Avenue and Sen. Benigno S. Aquino, Jr. Avenue last June 2015.

The project, in the amount of P153.52 Million, is implemented in two phases, under the supervision of the DPWH, Regional Office 6.

EDSA and C-5 Road Works on October 30 to November 2

Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Rogelio L. Singson instructed the DPWH National Capital Region Office including Quezon City Second and Metro Manila Second District Engineering Offices to closely monitor activities of the contractor undertaking the concrete reblocking at some portions of EDSA and C-5 Road starting at 10 PM tonight, October 30, 2015.

Singson said that post-activity cleanup through proper disposal of construction debris has to be undertaken immediately to minimize traffic disruption.

DPWH Set "Undas" 2015 Operation

Composite teams from the Regional and District Engineering Offices of the Department of Public Works and Highways are on the roads to assist travellers celebrating "Undas" this weekend.

Deployed on strategic section of national highways, the DPWH Lakbay Alalay personnel will respond to any road emergency situation beginning 5 PM Friday, October 30, 2015 to 12 Noon Monday, November 2, 2015.

DPWH-6 Prepares Roads for Undas

The Regional Office and the 15 District Engineering Offices (DEOs) of the Department of Public Works and Highways in Region VI are now preparing roads for the celebration of UNDAS on November 1-2, this year.

During the celebration, it is anticipated that volume of people would flock to public and private cemeteries, hence, traffic congestion is expected.

Waterfalls Trail Road in Ilocos

The Department of Public Works and Highways’ construction and improvement of the access road leading to Napidad View Deck and Water Falls in Takulao, Mataltala and Pao, Dumalneg, Ilocos Norte is about to be completed.

In his report to Regional Director Melanio C. Briosos, Project Engineer Angelito A. Dian said that the trail road project in Dumalneg, Ilocos Norte which was started on March 31, 2015 has posted 95% accomplishment to date.
