P74-M Flood Control Structure Reinforces Safety in Catanauan, Quezon Province

Residents along the left bank of the Catanauan River can now look forward to safer and more resilient living conditions, as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a flood control structure in one (1) of the flood-prone communities of Catanauan, Quezon Province.

DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan, citing a report from DPWH Region 4A Director Jovel G. Mendoza, said that the constructed flood control project was implemented to address the recurring flooding issues along the riverside of Barangay 10.

Key officials and personnel of the Department of Public Works and Highways - Central Office showcased their colorful and traditional Association of Southeast Asian Nations-inspired outfits during the Department’s first flag ceremony of the year, pursuant to the latest Civil Service Commission Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 16, s. 2024 which sets the Revised Dress Code of Government Officials and Employees. The MC prescribes wearing ASEAN-inspired attire on the first Monday of the month, and Filipiniana-inspired attire during the remaining Mondays of the month.
