
Regional Director Cayamombao “Caya” D. Dia joins the growing number of highest ranking lady engineers in the Department on her latest designation as the head of DPWH Regional IX.
Engr. Dia started her career in the government service as a Civil Engineering Aide and rose from ranks until she became Engineer II, Engineer III and the first ever Assistant District Engineer of Zamboanga Sibugay 1st District Engineering Office in Diplahan, Zamboanga, Sibugay. Prior to her designation as Assistant Regional Director, she was the Chief of the Planning and Design Division of DPWH Regional Office IX. She was a member of the Regional Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) Team and an Accredited Constructors Performance Evaluator
RD Dia finished her Elementary Education on top of her class at Camp Abelon Elementary School in Pagadian City and completed her high school at Pilar College, Zamboanga City where she received an award as Outstanding Muslim Student of the Year. She is a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) graduate from Western Mindanao State University and a holder of Master in Public Administration Degree. She was conferred by the Civil Service Commission the Career Service Executive Eligibility (CSEE)O in June 2003 and was conferred Career Service Eligibility (CESE) in July 2015. She is currently a Career Executive Service Officer Rank III.
RD Dia also attended various training courses and seminars held here and abroad like Executive Leadership and Management Competency Enhancement conducted by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), District Engineers Candidates Course, the International Course on Sustainable Road Development, sponsored by JICA and Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) which was held in Bangkok and the International Course on Sustainable Structural Safety Design, sponsored by JICA and the Government of Republic of Indonesia which was held in Jakarta.
