DPWH-ITDEO Turns Over First-Ever Footbridge With Lifts to LGU Cauayan

Department of Public Works and Highways Isabela 3rd District Engineering Office (DPWH-ITDEO) writes history as it turns over a footbridge with lifts – first of its kind in the region- to the Local Government Unit of Cauayan City on October 11, 2016.

District Engineer Editha R. Babaran together with the Section Chiefs of DPWH-ITDEO spearheaded the activity to which Mayor Bernard Faustino M. Dy gladly accepted the project.

DPWH Bares 2017 Infra Plans for Zamboanga Peninsula

The Department of the Public Works and Highways (DPWH) eyes booming infrastructure development in Zamboanga Peninsula as it lays out more projects for 2017 in line with the current administration’s thrust to accelerate infrastructure spending.

The regional office is gearing up for a total number of 446 projects targeted to be undergone by 2017. Under the National Expenditure Program of the Department, a total of ₱16,598,174 billion will be allotted for 2017 to construct, upgrade, and rehabilitate national roads and bridges in the Zamboanga Peninsula.

DPWH Paves Road Leading to Masbate's RORO Port

An access road leading to Masbate’s seaport has been improved by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to provide the riding public a more convenient trip to its neighbor provinces.

DPWH paved 3.6-kilometers of Junction Morning-Cataingan-Esperanza Port, located in the town of Pio V. Corpuz, Masbate now offers local residents and tourists an easy access to the provinces of Samar, Leyte and Cebu through Esperanza’s roll-on/roll-off (RORO) port.

DPWH Builds New School Building for an Island Barangay in Samar

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed a two-storey building project that is seen to address the increase in number of high school enrolees in an island barangay of Tarangnan, Samar.

An P8 million school building with six classrooms was built to accommodate more students of Oeste National High School, the only secondary school located at Barangay Oeste, Tarangnan, Samar.

Barangay Oeste is an island barangay in the municipality of Tarangnan, Samar which is only accessible by a one hour motorboat ride from Calbayog City.
