River control systems constructed in Aklan


Two river control projects in the province of Aklan were completed by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Aklan District Engineering Office, one in the town of Kalibo and the other in Banga.

According to District Engineer Noel L. Fuentebella, the construction of revetment wall in Brgy. Bakhaw in Kalibo, along Aklan River is implemented in the contract amount of P82.649 million, while the revetment wall in Brgy. Linabuan in Banga has the contract amount of P31.716 million.

DPWH, China’s Ministry of Commerce signs implementation agreement


Following the ceremonial launching in Malacañan led by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, and Chinese Premier H.E. Li Keqiang, Department of Public Works Secretary Mark Villar and Ministry of Commerce, Deputy Director General Mr. Zeng Hua signed the implementation agreement of the Binondo-Intramuros and Estrella-Pantaleon Bridges Project. 


BUILD BUILD BUILD team launches DPWH’s InfraTrack App


The “Build Build Build” team led by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar, Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno, and Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) President Vince Dizon launched DPWH’s InfraTrack App, a geographic information system employing geo-tagging technology, which would detect ghost projects real time.
