Reconstructed Eloisa Bridge in Alimodian, Iloilo Inaugurated

Transport of goods and services from the town of Alimodian to Iloilo City and other towns, vice versa is now much easier and comfortable with the restored Eloisa Bridge.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Regional Office VI, thru its Maintenance Division has reconstructed Eloisa Bridge, which is under the Spanish-Assisted DPWH Bridge Construction and Replacement Projects (BCRP), with the length of 30.0 lineal meters, with the contract amount of P19.667 million.

DENR Hands-Over "Hunol" to DPWH

A ceremonial “hand-over” of seedling was recently held at the Regional Office of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 6 by the Department of Environment and Natural resources (DENR) 6 as part of the latter’s “Handog Hunol sang DENR” program.

DENR 6 Regional Executive Director Jim O. Sampulna personally hand-over the “Bugnay” seedling to the DPWH, represented by its Chief Administrative Officer, Atty. Conrado A. Agot, witnessed by the officials and employees of both national government agencies.

VILLAR: Cagayan Valley to have a New Bridge Soon

Increased mobility within the Cagayan Valley Region is soon on its way as the new Pigalo Bridge is being constructed.

Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said the 437 Million project will connect the rural communities in the province of Isabela.

“The project, together with the approaches, spans 450 linear meters across the Cagayan River which is comprised of 10 spans steel plate girders at 45.0m per span. It will have a carriageway width of 7.32m wherein both abutments and 9 piers rest on bored piles,” Villar said.
