The Department of Public of Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 6 and Negros Island Region (NIR) have joined the annual global celebration of International Coastal Cleanup Day on September 16, 2017.

Four (4) school building projects in Concepcion, Iloilo were inaugurated recently by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Iloilo Third District Engineering Office along with the Local Government Unit (LGU) and officials of the schools where the buildings are constructed.

OIC Assistant Regional Director Jose Al V. Fruto of the Department of Public Works of Highways (DPWH) presented the development initiatives and programs of DPWH Region 6 before the board members of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) during the latter’s Board Familiarization Visit in Iloilo City.

A national Route Numbering System (RNS) is now in place along the Philippines’ national road network system in Western Visayas Region.

Instead of the usual different names of the long road section, the assigned route numbers in Region 6 will provide road users an easy familiarization with road sections and assist in planning travel itinerary.

The route numbering system is usually composed of 4-digit alpha-numeric sign (one letter and 3 numbers), 2-digit alpha-numeric sign (one letter and one number) or a 3-digit alpha-numeric sign (one letter and two numbers).

Puno, Nueva Ecija 2nd DEO inspected the roads and bridge projects in the province to see their actual maintenance status on Saturday, September 30, 2017.

Accompanied by DPWH Nueva Vizcaya officials, Usec Soguilon was met by the DPWH Nueva Ecija executives at the boundary of the two adjacent provinces.
