Engineer Denise Maria M. Ayag started his government service in 1987 as Civil Engineer Aide II in DPWH Region IV-B and moved to Engineer II position in 1989 under Maintenance Division.
He was assigned as Assistant Resident Engineer of ADB Projects tasked to supervise region-implemented infrastructure projects in Region IV-B. He also served as OIC – Assistant District Engineer of Lubang Sub-Office, MIMAROPA.
Engineer Ayag served as Assistant District Engineer and Officer-in-Charge District Engineer to Misamis Occidental 1st District Engineering Office (DEO) until his transfer to Bukidnon 3rd DEO in the same capacity and latter appointed as regular District Engineer in 2014.
He was designated as OIC-Assistant Regional Director of Region III in July 2019.
Engineer Ayag has been a recipient of the District Engineer of the Year Award (Region 10) from 2015-2017 for consistently attaining the highest overall statistical ratings among the Region 10 District Offices in Planning and Design, Project Implementation, Quality Control, Road Maintenance, and Financial Management.
In 2016, he passed the Career Executive Service Eligibility.
He also engaged himself in various national professional organizations, viz, the Association of Government Civil Engineers of the Philippines; Road Engineering Association of the Philippines; the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers; and the District Engineers League of the Philippines as one of the Directors of the Board.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Far Eastern University and Technological Institute of the Philippines in 1986 and passed the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination in 1988. In 1998, he received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration (MPA) from the Philippine College of Health and Sciences, Inc.
Engineer Ayag is married to Amalia Francisco Ayag and they are blessed with three (3) children.
