Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said that the Plaridel Bypass Road Phase II, Package 3 will be finished by June this year.

“The Plaridel Bypass Road is an arterial road of 24.61 km that will link the NLEX in Balagtas, Bulacan with the Maharlika Highway in San Rafael, Bulacan,” Villar said.

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) once again teams up with the city government of Manila, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and Philippine National Police (PNP) to clear road obstructions along major thoroughfares in the National Capital Region (NCR).

DPWH-NCR Director Melvin B. Navarro said a clearing operation team will resume on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 the removal of temporary and permanent structures at the north bound direction of about 3-kilometer from Bonifacio Drive, Port Area up to R-10, Tondo, Manila.

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Southern Leyte District Engineer Ma. Margarita C. Junia confirmed that additional budget for infrastructure development in Southern Leyte increased to P1.8 billion from the proposed P1.7 billion this year owing to more projects added under the 2017 General Appropriations Act.
