Undersecretary
Romeo S. Momo, the latest member of the DPWH Executive in the
Department since 1974.
From
a Civil Engineering Aide on July 1, 1974, he become an Assistant
District Engineer in 1997 to become an Assistant Regional Director
in 2002. In June of
2003, he was appointed as Officer-In-Charge-Regional Director (OIC-RD)
of Region XIII. On January of 2004, he become a full-pledged
regional director of the region.

Momo’s vast
experience and engineering was recognized by being a recipient of
one of “Most Outstanding Field Executive from 2003 to 2004, and
is a current active member of the Philippine Institute of Civil
Engineer (PICE), Surigao del Sur Chapter. His other membership
includes:Road Engineering Association Association of the
Philippines (REAP) CARAGA Chapter,
District Deputy Grand Master #26 Free and Accecepted Mason
of the Philippines; Rotary club of Butuan District and Jacinto D.
Elpa Alumni Association.
He
has attended numerous trainings on Civil and Road Engineering,
together with Information Technology locally. His other trainings
conducted abroad included The American Society of Civil Engineers
Association (ASCE) Convention last October 30 to November 4, of
the current year at Orlando, Florida, USA and the Road Engineering
Association of Asia and Australasia in 2005 at Bangkok, Thailand.
He
earned his post graduate 18 units of Master in Public
Administration from Bukidnon State College in 1997.
He is a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Civil
Engineering (BSCE) in 1974 from the University of Mindanao and
became a licensed Civil Engineer in 1975.
Born
on August 6, 1952 in Tandag, Surigao del Sur, Underseceary Momo is
married to Eleanor
Darvin, a businesswoman and has four
(4) children Rommel, Romeo Jr., Ruel and Melanie.
