Assistant
Director Manao has brought to his position 35 years of work
experience as a licensed civil engineer.
He has been serving as an Assistant Regional Director
since 2004. Before that, he served as OIC-Assistant Regional Director for
a year and as District Engineer for eight years.
He started as a casual employee in 1972 as Civil
Engineer Aide II and eventually became the OIC-District
Engineer in 1988.
His
trainings include Management Course for District Offices;
Workshop on Problems/Issues on Project Implementation,
Planning – The Highland Agri Project, New Highway
Management, Project Management Supervision and on Building
Code of the Philippines.
He
has also attended the Jet Stream Course, Workship on Public
Information, and the Buklod ng mga Kabataan Kawani as
sponsored by the Civil Service Commission.

Manao is currently the Chapter President of the Philippine
Institute of Civil Engineers.
He
finished his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1971
at St. Louis University Baguio City and his Masteral in Public
Administration in 1995 at Baguio Central University.

Manao was born on September 26, 1948 at Bontoc, Mountain
Province. He
married Eugenia Lorenzano and is blessed with seven children.
