A
man who is accustomed to transitional challenges, Assistant
Director Reynaldo Tamayo commenced his government service as
Civil Engineering Aide II at the District Office in Koronadal,
South Cotabato until he moved to DPWH Regional Office in Davao
City in 1982 as Materials Testing Engineer and later returned
back in Koronadal in 1988 where he later earned the position
of Engineer III and subsequently Assistant District Engineer
in January 1988.
Sustaining
the dynamism and commitment to work, he transferred to the
District Office in Digos City as Assistant District Engineer
in October 2000, later became District Engineer in
December 2000 until he was promoted by Secretary Hermogenes E.
Ebdane Jr. in October 2006 as OIC-Assistant Regional Director
owing to his integrity, and efficient and effective handling
capability of infrastructure projects.
Among
the latest trainings/seminars and conventions that he attended
are Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) National
Convention, District Engineers League of the Philippines (DELP)
National Convention, Road Engineering Association of the
Philippines (REAP) Convention, Total Quality Management for
Middle Managers Seminar, Conference on Personnel Selection
Board Operation and Functionality, Seminar on New Rules on
Administrative Cases, Contract Preparation System Seminar,
Performance Evaluation System, among others.
Assistant
Director Tamayo earned his Civil Engineering degree in 1975
from the Cebu Institute of Technology and 18 units of Master
in Business Administration from Notre Dame of Marbel
University.
Although,
he is dedicated to his multifarious jobs in the Department,
Assistant Director Tamayo is a member of professional and
civic organizations such as Philippine Institute of Civil
Engineers (PICE), District Engineers League of the Philippines
(DELP), Knights of Columbus, and Kiwanis Club.
Born on November 17, 1952 in Dao, Capiz, Director
Reynaldo Sanchez Tamayo is married to Milagros Sucayan and is
blessed with five (5) children namely Ghizelle Joan, Ghizelle
Jean, Reynaldo Jr., Jeffrey, and John Paul.
