From
among the roster of Regional Directors in the Department,
Director Josefino N. Rigor is the only Regional Director who
graduated from college simultaneously with two (2) degrees,
civil engineering and sanitary engineering, from one of the
most prestigious engineering schools in the country, the Mapua
Institute of Technology.
By
choosing to pursue his twin degrees, he had clearly stirred
his career path in the right direction while he was still a
student.
He
started practicing his profession as a Civil Engineering Aide
II in 1967 with the then Bureau of Public Highways. He was
promoted as a Junior Civil Engineer in 1972 when he was
detailed at the BPH-Tarlac. He then rose to become an
Associate Engineer even before the release of the results of
the Licensure Examinations in both of his courses. His
dedication to his job was amply rewarded when he was named as
the District Engineer of MPWH-Tarlac in 1982.
Determined
to scale greater heights and armed with his innate talent and
dedication to work, he was able to reach his present position
as Regional Director of Region I in 1997.
He
also attended many conference/seminars here and abroad: Field
Training/ Counterpart Training Ltd. Sponsored by JICA, held in

Managers' Course dated August 25 - November 14, 1990;

National Mid-Year Convention last June 24-26, 1999 held in
Angeles City.

from the spouses Ceferino Rigor of Ilocos Norte and Loreta
Sigua Nacpil of Tarlac, Tarlac, he is married to Anastacia C.
Rigor. They bore 8 children, 5 boys and 3 girls.
