Regional
Director Alfredo G. Tolentino
is one of the dedicated department officials.
After
finishing his engineering course from the National
University in 1971, Director Tolentino entered the DPWH
the same year as a Civil Engineering Aide assigned at
the Bureau of Design.
In
1973, he transferred to Southern Tagalog Regional Office
(Region IV-A) starting as a CE Aide II subsequently
promoted as Associate Civil Engineer, Senior Civil
Engineer, Supervising Civil Engineer, Engineer III,
Engineer IV and Engineer V.
Behind
the struggle and challenges, he places his untiring
commitment to contribute to the materialization of the
goals and objectives of the Department.
Director
Tolentino’s willingness to perform and exemplary
service was
recognized when he was designated as OIC-Assistant
Regional Director in 1997 and OIC-District Engineer of
the Laguna Engineering District in 1998.
Prior
to his appointment as Director for Central Luzon,
Director Tolentino was the Region IV-A’s Assistant
Regional Director from March 2000 and Regional Director
of Region IV-B who played a
significant role in the Region’s remarkable
achievements in infrastructure development to complement
with its rapid industrialization.
Although,
he is dedicated to his multifarious jobs in the
Department, Director Tolentino is a member of
socio-civic organizations such as District and City
Engineers League of the Philippines (DACEL), Road
Engineering Association of the Philippines (REAP), and
Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE).
Born
on August 28, 1949 in Pulilan, Bulacan, Director Alfredo
Guzman Tolentino is blessed with four (4) childrens namely Michael, Marco,
Ma. Isabel, and Ma. Monica.
