Assistant Regional Director Loreta M. Malaluan is a professional civil engineer, who has expertise in construction and maintenance operations.
Her professional years of engineering experience were served solely at the Central Luzon regional office since July 1988 after her entry in the Department as Civil Engineer at BSR-PMO in December 1984. From then on, she climbed the ladder of success occupying the positions of Supervising Civil Engineer, Engineer III, Engineer IV and Engineer V until her appointment as OIC-Assistant Regional Director in April 2012.
She graduated with the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) degree from the Mapua Institute of Technology in 1982 and passed the Board Examination for Civil Engineers in May 1983. She finished her Master in Public Management degree at Araullo University in 2001 and has also obtained 30 units of MA in Administration from the Angeles University Foundation.
Engr. Malaluan has attended numerous trainings and seminars to boost her credentials like Comprehensive Training for DPWH Field Engineers; Labor-Base Equipment Supported Trainors Course; Contract Management; Quality Assurance Unit; Training Course on Labor-based Methods of Construction and Maintenance in Infra Projects for Site Supervisors; Seminar Workshop on Contractor’s Performance for Road, Bridge Housing & Building Projects, among others. She contributes her expertise through affiliations to various organizations such as the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE).
She was born in Sampaloc, Manila on December 10, 1960 to Antonio Malaluan and Josefina Madarang.
