Engineer Ador G. Canlas is the primary state engineer responsible in improving the infrastructure condition in Central Visayas.
On September 13, 2010, he was designated as the Assistant Regional Director of Regional Office III after his brief stint as OIC-Assistant Regional Director of Regional Office II on July, 2, 2009. He also served as OIC-District Engineer of Quirino District Engineering Office on April 23, 2007, OIC-District Engineer of Capiz 2nd District Engineering Office on August 13, 2007, and OIC-Assistant District Engineer of Tarlac District Engineering Office on August 11, 2005.
The trainings and seminars that Director Canlas has attended include the 2012 Seminar on Rural Development (The Malaysian Experience) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; 2007 ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturer Concrete Road Symposium 2007 in Malaysia; and the Enhancing Management Leadership in support of DPWH Operations Planning by the Phil–Australian Human Resource Development Facility. He also attended Civil Service Commission sponsored seminars like the Supervisory Development Course, Tracks I to III and Maintaining a High Service Profile.
Prior to earning his Civil Engineering degree at the Holy Angel University in 2001, Engr. Canlas first took Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at the Mapua Institue of Technology where he graduated in 1984. He obtained his Master in Management from the University of the Philippines in 1995.
Director Canlas was born on July 22, 1963 in San Fernando, Pampanga. He is married to Ruby Herrera, also a DPWH–employee at the Regional Office No. III. They are blessed with three children namely Rizzia Anne, Rozz Armelie and Adrian Ron.
