Overview
BOD conducts,
supervises and review the results of field surveys for highways,
flood control and water resources development systems, and other
public works projects; to review the preparation of schemes,
designs, specifications, estimates, tender contract documents
covering architectural, structural and electrical and other
technical design aspects of highways, flood control and other
projects of the Department. Evaluates the design, specifications,
estimates, tender documents covering the architectural, structural,
mechanical, electrical, and other technical design aspects of public
works projects of all agencies in accordance with current standards
and guidelines; provide technical assistance in the selection of
firms or entities that shall undertake actual construction of public
works projects through participation in the technical evaluation
aspects of the bidding/award process; and perform such other related
functions as may be assigned or delegated by the Secretary or as may
be required by law.
