Executive Information
System

The Executive Information System (ExIS) has now been launched in Central Office. ExIS  is  designed  to  strengthen  decision-making,  allow  monitoring of exceptions; highlight potential problem areas;   assist  in  monitoring Key Performance  Indicators;  and  enhance   the management and control of resources in the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

ExIS is  designed  for use by the Executive Committee: i.e. the Office of the  Secretary,  and the Offices of the Undersecretaries and  Assistant  Secretaries.  It  gives  instant  access  to  up-to-date  information  from   various  computer applications, including:

  • · Bridge Management System (BMS)

  • · Civil Works Registry (CWR)

  • · Project Monitoring System (PMS)

  • · PMO Monitoring System (PMO-MS)

  • · Road and Bridge Information  Application (RBIA)

  • · Road Traffic Information Application (RTIA)

  • · Traffic Accident Recording and Analysis System (TARAS)

Other applications will be added in the future.

Members of the Executive Committee will be monitoring this information on  a  frequent  basis.  The respective offices being monitored by these systems can anticipate questions from the Executive Committee to explain status and progress on any or all of the above areas.

All offices have been directed to ensure that the data in all of the above applications are updated as required by relevant Department Orders.
