Road and Bridge Information Application

In accordance with Department Order No. 54, Series of 2004, the Road and Bridge Information Applications (RBIA) are the official source of Road and Bridge Information.

Under the umbrella of planning, the Road and Bridge Information Application (RBIA) provide a new approach in maintaining data on the National Road Network. Instead of relying on paper records and cabinet filing systems, the RBIA enable users who are connected to the Wide Area Network (WAN) to receive rapid answers to almost any question related to the road inventory. It provides a single source of up-to-date inventory and condition data for the entire National road Network throughout the Department. The RBIA includes road inventory, which consists of the physical features and assets of the network, e.g. pavement type, shoulder width, signs, safety devices etc.; International Roughness Index (IRI) data, which represents the roughness of the road sections; Centerline survey of new roads or converted roads to allow accurate mapping of the network; Video, which can assist in the management of the network.
