What is GAD in DPWH?

 

The following are the DPWH GAD initiatives:

· Department Order No. 165 s. 1989 – creation of DPWH Committee on Women In Development (DPWH COWID).

· DO No. 158 s. 1992 – restructuring and reconstitution of the DPWH-COWID.

· DMC No. 67 s. 1993 – for dissemination and compliance of R.A. 7192 “An Act promoting the Integration of Women as Full and Equal Partners of Men in development and Nation Building and for Other Purposes” and implementing rules and regulations (IRR) for Sections 2, 3 and 4 of the Act.

· DO No. 86 s. 1995 – renaming DPWH COWID as DPWH Committee on Gender and Development (COGAD).

· SO No. 83 s. 2007 – reactivation and reconstitution of COGAD

SO No. 76 s. 2008 – reconstitution of COGAD.
